I used 1\/2\" zinc frame for the border as well. The wood frame was kind of just made to fit around it when it was done - I used 2x2 pine posts for the side and the short piece at the bottom and did a 3\/8\" routed channel down the center of those pieces and 1x3 and a 1x4 for the top stacked on top of each other. The finished size for just the glass is 16x32\" and then the 2x2 posts are 4 foot tall. I finished it with 2 large metal stakes in the ground and screwed the stakes to the 2x2 posts.
